What is Regulation

A piano is a complex and highly mechanical instrument with over 8000 components.  All these must be fitted together accurately.  Most of the components of the piano action and keyboard are adjustable in order that each key will have the same response as the next.  Regulation is the aligning and adjustment of these components.

Regulation can take anywhere from five
Minutes to three days to complete.

This is another important factor in
maintaining your instruments playing
ability and resale value.
